I wanted to have partial search in one of my drupal powered website. I checked all forums / blogs - but did not get any good solution, so i tried to hack the code to suit my requirement. Attached file is drop-and-replace for search.module (usually in modules/search/)

Admin can choose if they want "partial text match" search or "full text" match - through search settings available in admin -> Search Settings.

Right now the code is working fine for me at http://www.e-openvision-gift.com/

Please check the code and inform me if any issue,.
